Troop 2 is a Boy led, Boys only, Boy Scout Troop. It is one of the original Boy Scout troops in Chester County Council and it has a deep history of Scouting including over 140 Eagle Scouts. Our Troop is a 2024 Gold tier National Catholic Unit sponsored by St Joseph’s Catholic Church and we are closely associated with both the church as well as BSA Cub Pack 2. Please note you do not need to be Catholic to join our Troop although many of our scouts are. Our Troop meets on Thursday nights throughout the year from 7:00-8:30 pm in the Activity Nest of St Joseph Church. The Activity Nest is in the Parish Office, and is accessed through the back door of the building.

The cost of scouting is the National/Council BSA dues then the Troop activities/awards fees. Currently National/Council Dues are $155/yr. Troop 2 has an additional $300/yr activities and awards fee. There are additional costs for the Class A Dress uniform and throughout the year for camping trips (usually ~$20 to cover food costs), optional merit badges, optional activities (summer camp) etc. This activity fee can be prorated if you are joining mid year. We can explain this and answer any other questions you have at this Thursday’s meeting at 7pm in the St Joseph Nest.
